Workers Needed
The
Lord invites all of us to serve our community in some way.
At present, the Parish Family at Corpus Christi is in need
of workers to help out at Bingo on Tuesday nights from 6:30pm-9:30pm.
We need help selling the bingo papers as well as working in
the kitchen. Please call the rectory to volunteer.

Basketball
CONGRATULATIONS
to our Corpus Christi Youth Center High School Girls Basketball
team who took second place in the Westchester/Putnam CYO Championship
Game. They lost by a basket in overtime to Holy Family of
New Rochelle. Many thanks to Sr. Agatha and Sr. Denise who
sat in the stands with the Corpus Christi banner cheering
our girls on!

sponsor a trip to the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ to
see the New Jersey Nets play the Miami Heat. Please see Fr.

Our
Brother’s Keeper Food Drive
Dear
Corpus Christi Parishioner:
In
your generosity we ask you to please bring in essential food
items for families in need. These groceries can be canned
and/or dry food. Any contribution, however small, will be
gratefully appreciated. These groceries can be deposited at
the Corpus Christi Rectory near the secretary’s office in
a box labeled “Food Items” and will be delivered to the Holy
Rosary food pantry.
Also,
volunteers are needed at the Holy Rosary Soup Kitchen any
day, Monday through Friday at any time between 9am and 2pm.
There is no commitment; just go whenever you wish
and see Deacon Bill Vaccaro or Sister Denise. For further

Penance
United
in prayer as a parish family, let us remember our young people
preparing to meet the forgiving Jesus for the first time in
the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Thursday, March 12 th at
7pm. This past Saturday, they made their Penance retreat and

of the Cross
During
Lent, there will be NO Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction
on First Fridays. The emphasis will be on The Way of the Cross
each Friday at 7:00pm in the Church, please join us. (Note:
Due to a 6:30pm wedding rehearsal on April 3 rd , Stations
will begin at 7:30pm.)

Cardinal’s
Appeal 2009
On
the weekend of February 7 th and 8 th , one month ago, members
of our parish finance committee “kicked off” our 2009 Cardinal’s
Appeal. We have been assessed $44,625.00 for this year. You
should have received a letter from Cardinal Egan asking for
your support for the 2009 Appeal. As you know, the appeal
offers vital support to Catholic programs and ministries throughout
the Archdiocese. Some of these include:
- Retired
priests and religious
- Seminarians
studying at Darlington
- Catholic
Charities and
- Some
of the poorest parishes in the Archdiocese
Please
show your support by making your pledge today. We thank all
those who have made pledges and sent their donations in already.
Next weekend, March 14 th and 15 th , we will have the in-pew

Experience is offering a healing weekend from April 16-18,
2009 at the Mt. Alvernia Retreat House in Wappinger Falls
, NY . This invitation is open to men and women of all ages
who have suffered the loss of a spouse through death, divorce,

will Same-Sex Marriage affect the common good and Catholic
