Student Activities

Corpus Christi School and parish provide opportunities for all students to utilize their talents through participation in a variety of activities. Parish sponsored basketball, baseball, cheerleading and altar serving is offered. Along with these individual activities, we also have school-wide and grade level events. These include a Mission Fair, several Field Day, Don Bosco Day, Christmas Musicals and Drama. There are also class trips, Knights of Columbus contests, Port Chester Independence Day essay contests, and various liturgical and para-liturgical celebrations. Catholic Schools Week is also an opportunity for the entire school to celebrate student uniqueness and special talents.

Faculty and Staff

The faculty of Corpus Christi consists of twenty-one dedicated professional educators. Many teachers have Masters degrees and several are currently pursuing a Masters Program. The remaining teachers have Bachelor degrees. In addition, we have a large support staff that has the qualifications needed for specific assignments. Our faculty and staff are engaged in ongoing professional development. Teachers are encouraged to pursue professional development through in-service programs and workshops. This enables them to keep current in their respective fields and bring new instructional approaches and methods into the classroom. The faculty is supported by the Salesian Sisters as well as the Salesian Priests of the parish.

Buildings and Grounds

Corpus Christi School is located in Westchester County , New York . The original school structure was constructed in 1959 with an addition built in 1997. The school complex houses primary, intermediate, and junior high students. In addition to the 18 classrooms, the school enjoys a large modern gymnasium, a multi-media library, a computer lab, a science lab, and a cafeteria. Our grounds include a designed play area with slides, jungle gym, and picnic tables, two baseball fields, and basketball courts.
